Energy and Tourism Stocks Lead Rebound on Thai Stock Market, with SET Index Gaining 13Pts.

Since most regional markets have recovered, the Thai stock market has also returned to green territory in early morning trading on Wednesday, with a big rise in the energy sector, as well as IVL and AOT.

The index of the Stock Exchange of Thailand increased 13.42 points, or 0.83 percent, to 1,639.65 points as of 11.24 hrs. local time in Thailand, with a total trading value of THB25,295 million.

This morning’s bounce on the Thai stock market was in line with most regional bourses, which have moved into positive territory, and was buoyed by the energy sector, IVL, and AOT.

A rise in oil prices this morning boosted energy equities, while AOT and other tourism-related shares are waiting for the government to approve the extension of We Travel Together Phase 4, said local analysts.
