MAJOR Turns Around to Book THB131 Million of Net Profit as Economic Activities Recover

MAJOR made a turnaround in 2Q22 to book a net profit of 131 million baht, compared to a net loss of 218 million baht in 2Q21.

MAJOR had total revenues from sales and services for 2Q22 of 1,639 million baht compared with the same period of the previous year, which was 437 million baht, increase 1,202 million baht or 275% mainly from more popular movies released such as the Hollywood movies; Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Jurassic World Dominion, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Top Gun Maverick and Thai movies Daeng Phrakhanong, among others consistent with all of movie theaters are fully operational, resulting in an increase of admission. In addition, the company expanded multi-channel to distribute popcorn and beverages which in the 2nd quarter of 2022, movie theaters are temporarily closed from 26th April 2021 to 30th June 2021.
