ESSO Gains 2.5% on Rising Crude Prices and Supply Concerns

The share price of ESSO (THAILAND) Public Company Limited (SET: ESSO) rose THB 0.20/share or 1.71% to THB 11.90/share, and the highest was THB 12.20, with a trading value of THB 221.50 million.

CGS-CIMB Securities (Thailand) Co.,Ltd., said on Wednesday that it recommended speculation in energy and refinery stocks after the price of WTI for the December contract increased 2.22 dollars or 3%, to close at 75.39 dollars/barrel. The increase was its second-straight day after the U.S. reported lower-than-expected inflation data that could be a support factor to the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) in slowing down interest rate hikes.

In addition, the market is still also supported by the weakness of dollars, including the Keystone pipeline that remains closed due to leakage. CGS-CIMB recommended PTTEP, PTT, SPRC, TOP, BCP, and ESSO.
