Osotspa Public Company Limited (SET: OSP) announced on 31 May 2023 that it entered into Share Transfer Instrument for divestment of 420,500 shares or 5.85% ownership in Uni.Charm (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Unicharm) to Unicharm Corporation Co., Ltd. in the total amount of THB3,000 million, which was appraised by the financial advisor.
The divestment of minority shares in Unicharm is in line with the company’s by-design strategy focusing on core business expansion with controlling stake, primarily in beverages, personal care and businesses where Osotspa can leverage its competitive advantages. The strategy and this divestment will allow us to utilize its resources even more effectively, resulting in stronger performance. This divestment is a valuable transaction for Osotspa and can maximize the shareholders’ values.
