CGS International Securities (Thailand) expected Thailand’s SET Index to move within the range of 1,330-1,365 points. The analyst noted that after the index broke the resistance level at 1,350 points due to political concerns, the plummet is slowing down to around 1,330 points. The analyst believed SET Index has limited impact from the election situation in India due to fluctuation in the market after Modi won the race, but scored a lower-than-expected seat in the parliament.

 

Chinese semiconductor stocks rallied on Thursday on expectation of rising memory chip prices. Hua Hong Semiconductor hit a 10-month high in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Brainhole Technology rose 38.20%, HG Semiconductor gained 17.50%, SMIC increased 3.74% and Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics inched 3.04% higher.

 

Nvidia has achieved a market capitalization of $3.01 trillion, enabling it to exceed Apple’s value and secure the position as the second-largest U.S. company after Microsoft. Nvidia’s shares surged by 5.2% on Wednesday, marking the company’s inaugural entry into the prestigious $3 trillion club.

In contrast, Apple experienced a more modest increase of 0.8% in its shares, resulting in a market value of $3.00 trillion by the end of trading, attaining this level for the first time since January. Apple’s stock performance exhibited significant strength, posting gains for the eighth consecutive session and establishing its lengthiest winning streak since March 2022.

Microsoft maintains its status as the largest U.S. company with a market cap of $3.15 trillion.
