BCPG Eyes Strong 2H25 after Recording THB 152 Million of Profit in 1Q

Rawee Boonsinsukh, CEO and President of BCPG Public Company Limited (SET: BCPG), disclosed operating results of BCPG and its subsidiaries in 1Q25 with total revenue of THB 730.9 million and total core profit of THB 197.8 million, a 13.1% decrease from 4Q24 due to lower contribution from hydropower plants in Laos, or a 42.4% decrease from 1Q24 resulting from an absence of adder from solar power plants in Thailand and an absence of revenue from divested solar power plants in Japan.

The Company’s total net profit, however, reached THB 152.6 million due to a foreign exchange loss and additional cost from equipment replacement to improve efficiency of solar power plants and the management of expired or deteriorated solar panels.

“In the second half of 2025, we expect to achieve better performance with significant contributors; rainy season in Laos to result in higher contribution of hydropower plants, higher capacity revenue from natural gas power plants in the US, the commercial operation of 600-MW wind power plant in Laos, and the acquisition of 99-MW wind farm in Vietnam which we plan to complete all the acquisition process and start revenue recognition by this year”, said Rawee.
