EA Repays THB5.5 Billion Debentures and Secures Backing from Leading Bank to Ensure Financial Stability

Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (SET: EA) has successfully repaid on schedule 2 series of debentures totaling 5,500 million baht, while proceeding with systematic debt restructuring plans to strengthen financial stability and support sustainable growth.

The 2 debenture series, EA248A and EA249A matured at the end of May 2025 and debenture holders are to receive their funds in the first week of June.

EA has navigated challenging conditions in both money and capital markets but has received strong support from financial institutions providing short-term capital assistance, debenture holders cooperating with payment deferrals, and shareholders supporting the oversubscribed capital increase, reflecting confidence in the company’s potential, vision, and business approach.

Mr. Vasu Klomkliang, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Energy Absolute Public Company Limited, said, “The core business of the company remains robust, delivering sustained profitability and continuously adding value for shareholders. To ensure a stable company turnaround, we are focused on improving cashflow management and addressing repayment plans on our debt obligations across both financial institutions and debentures. These initiatives are designed to enhance the company’s cash flow stability, increase investment flexibility, and bolster sustainable long-term growth.”

EA is now scheduling debenture holder meetings to present detailed plans in June, prioritizing transparency, equality and the protection of debenture holders’ and shareholders’ interests, and company’s long-term stability.

The company also announced that a leading financial institution has extended financial support to the company. “The implicit endorsement of the company’s recovery plan from this prominent financial institution signifies trust in the business strategy and capabilities of the management team and will significantly enhance the company’s long-term financial stability,” he said.
