The investor relations department of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (SET: BDMS) informed Kaohoon about the company’s performance trend in 2Q25 as its growth appears to surpass those from the same period last year due to the bigger patient base. Currently, the company is assessing its performance this month.
Regarding the company’s performing trend in the remaining period of this year, BDMS is monitoring the global economy closely and confident in Thailand’s wellness tourism trend to attract foreigners.
Since the hospital within BDMS network remains the top choice for the foreign patient, the company decided to maintain its revenue growth targetgoal of growing revenue from the medical service in 2024 of THB 109 billion by 4 – 6%.
Currently, BDMS network is one of largest private hospital networks in Thailand and Southeast Asia region. It comprises 58 hospitals, including Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, Paolo Hospital, and other specialized medical centers.
The company also operates hospitals that are positioned as destinations for wellness tourism for foreigners, such as those located in Phuket province.
Although the global economy is volatile, Phuket province is considered a high potential area as its Thai and international patient bases are expanding. Among the hospitals there, three of which are part of the BDMS network.
First is Bangkok Hospital Phuket, containing 234 medical beds. Second is Bangkok Hospital Siriroj, containing 181 medical beds. And finally is Dibuk Hospital, containing 75 medical beds. More than 50% of the patient base at each hospital are foreigners.
Finansia Syrus Securities (FSS) recommended “Buy” on BDMS’ stock with a price target of THB 36.5 after analyzing the company’s trend in 2Q25.
It viewed that BDMS’ revenue is growing from the same period last year but slowed down when compared with 1Q25 due to being in the low season. In addition, BDMS’ normal profit this year is speculated to grow 10% YoY to THB 17.6 billion.
Meanwhile, executives are continuing to purchase stocks while the price remains low. This is viewed as positive sentiment toward stock price.
