Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: AMATA) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the company’s Board of Directors’ Meeting No. 7/2025, held on August 11, 2025, approved the establishment of a company to operate a utility business in the field of electricity in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, namely AMATA U Laos Power Co., Ltd., to be registered in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
AMATA U Laos Power, set to be established by 3Q25, will be operating a utility business in the field of electricity in AMATA City Lao Industrial Estates, Namor, Oudomxay Province and Natuey, Luang Namtha Province in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The new company has registered capital of 1,613,075 shares at LAK 2,000 each, totalling LAK 3,226,150,000 (around THB 5 million).
