GULF Offers THB2 Million Donation to Aid Two Wounded Soldiers from Border Conflicts

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF), led by Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to Deputy CEO of GULF, has provided over THB 2 million in aid to two soldiers injured in the line of duty—both losing their legs after stepping on landmines along the Thai-Cambodian border.

The recipients are Sub Lieutenant Kiattiwong Sathaworn, injured at Prasat Ta Khwai in Surin province, and Sergeant Major Phichitchai Bunchoola, affected by a similar incident at Chong An Ma, Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province. This financial assistance is part of the “THB100 Million Fund” established by GULF to support soldiers wounded while performing security duties at the border.

Mr. Sitamon explained that after learning of the soldiers’ injuries in July, GULF promptly sprang into action to provide help. Recognizing that others continue to face similar risks, the company has extended its mission of social support, using the dedicated fund to address these specific incidents. He expressed his deep gratitude and admiration for the courage and dedication of all frontline soldiers, wishing those injured a swift recovery.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Janya Sathaworn, mother of SubLt. Kiattiwong Sathaworn, expressed heartfelt thanks to the medical staff, GULF, and everyone who contributed encouragement and support. She said she takes great pride in her son’s service to the country and his sacrifice in protecting Thailand.

Beyond this assistance, GULF continues to advance its social mission in the Thai-Cambodian border area. The company’s “THB100 Million Fund” provides support for soldiers who are injured, disabled, or killed in service.

Additionally, the GULF Volunteer Team has delivered more than 2,000 ‘GULF Care’ survival bags to soldiers and civilians impacted at various shelters across provinces such as Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani, along with funding for shelter operations. GULF has also joined forces with affiliates AIS and Thaicom to provide enhanced communication and satellite technology, expanding 4G/5G coverage so security personnel can work more effectively in the border region.
