BGRIM Announces Commercialization of 18MWp U-Tapao Solar Farm Phase 1

B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) has announced the successful commencement of commercial operations of its 18 MWp U-Tapao ground-mounted solar PV farm project (Phase 1) (“the Project”) on 23 September 2025.

The Project is situated on 100 rai of state-owned land within the U-Tapao International Airport area under a 25-year lease. This strategically significant location supports the government’s Eastern Aviation City and U-Tapao Airport initiatives under the Eastern Economic Corridor (“EEC”). Notably, it is the first private-sector project to secure all required permits and licenses for commercial operation under the EEC program, highlighting B.Grimm Power’s pioneering role in advancing Thailand’s national infrastructure agenda.

The Project operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with the Sattahip Electricity Authority, Royal Thai Navy Welfare Concession, with a contracted capacity of 15 MW. Awarded through a transparent competitive bidding process in 2019, the PPA ensures optimal outcomes for both the Royal Thai Navy and the EEC. Electricity is supplied at a tariff 15.16% lower than the former time-of-use (“TOU”) tariff, directly reducing costs for the Royal Thai Navy Welfare Concession.

This development enhances energy security in the Eastern Airport City (EECa) — the first of its kind in Thailand — while providing long-term benefits through land lease revenues, tariff stability, and modernized power infrastructure, all without burdening the national budget. Consistent with its principle of aligning business growth with social responsibility, B.Grimm Power continues to support national welfare and security institutions, building on prior initiatives such as its 2017 project for the War Veterans Organization of Thailand under Royal Patronage and its ongoing provision of 1,000 annual scholarships for nursing colleges under the four armed forces.
