Today (18 November 2025), Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, stated that Thai Cabinet, led by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has approved the “Upskill” and “Reskill” knowledge and skills development project for merchants participating in the “Half-Half Plus” scheme, under the theme “Increase Sales, Reduce Costs, Enhance Skills.”
The project aims to upgrade the skills of approximately 400,000 merchants in the “Tung Ngern” program. The government will also provide financial support equal to 20% of sales generated from participation in the activities, capped at THB 2,000 per merchant. To be eligible for the support, merchants must have a minimum of five purchase orders within the specified period.
Merchants can choose to enhance their skills through three channels:
- Increase Online Sales: Food and beverage outlets participating in food delivery under Half-Half Plus can expand their sales from offline to online as per specified conditions.
- Enhance Liquidity Knowledge: Complete the Smart Finance Upskill course from the Government Savings Bank via www.gsb.or.th, with required passing criteria.
- Develop Business Management Skills: Complete courses from DBD Academy of the Department of Business Development via https://dbdacademy.dbd.go.th, meeting the set requirements.
The project is open for participation from November 19 to December 19, 2025, aiming to improve merchants’ potential in the digital era, covering financial, online sales, and business management skills.
