Mr. Natapon Khamthakrue, Assistant Managing Director of Securities Analysis at Yuanta Securities (Thailand), stated the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index closed the morning session slightly lower by 0.69%, or 8.74 points, at 1,266.59 points, mainly due to the selling pressure in the electronics components sector, as copper prices reached an all-time high, increasing production costs. Heavy selling of DELTA in particular pulled the market down by 3 points.
Meanwhile, Asian equity market activity was subdued, with only three markets open: China, Vietnam, and Japan, as other markets were closed for the Christmas holiday. In the afternoon session, the Thai market is expected to remain stable, with the support level at 1,265 points and the resistance level at 1,275 points.
