On Friday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,613.67 points, showing a decrease of 0.97 points or 0.06%, with a trading value of THB 38.67 billion.
Maybank Securities (Thailand) stated that the Thai stock market opened this morning trading within a narrow sideways movement, as no new significant factors have emerged. Investors continue to monitor ongoing negotiations regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as upcoming U.S. labor data expected to be released tonight.
Meanwhile, there has been speculative trading in selected listed companies, alternating with profit-taking, resulting in a more selective trading atmosphere. As a result, the overall market continues to fluctuate within a narrow band, moving up or down by no more than 2%.
For the afternoon session, the market is expected to continue trading in a similar pattern, with the support level set at 1,610 points and resistance at 1,620 points.
