On Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,615.26 points, showing an increase of 5.50 points or 0.34%, with a trading value of THB 38.37 billion.
Krungsri Securities (KSS) stated that the Thai stock market rebounded this morning, recovering from two consecutive days of decline. The main factor fueling positive sentiment was the announcement from the U.S. Treasury to double the size of its long-term bond buyback program compared to the previous round.
This eased concerns regarding long-term bond risks, as the U.S. has expressed its intention to support investments from hyperscalers, who require substantial capital over the medium to long term. As a result, U.S. government bond yields edged lower, and the US dollar weakened, benefiting equities, particularly those in Asia.
At the same time, the Thai stock market has been bolstered by second quarter 2026 earnings results, which have set new records and marked six consecutive quarters of year-on-year growth. This has provided solid momentum for the market.
For the afternoon session, the outlook is for the Thai bourse to move sideways-up, with a resistance level forecast at 1,630–1,635 points and a support level at 1,615–1,610 points.
