mai President Prapan Charoenprawatt stated that 216 listed companies on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai), representing 97 percent of the total 222 companies (excluding companies under NC (non-compliance) status, those with different accounting period closing dates, and those that have not submitted financial statements), have submitted their Q2/2026 operating results.
For Q2/2026 compared with the same period of the previous year, mai-listed companies reported total sales of THB 57.24 billion, up 13.1 percent; operating profit of THB 4.38 billion, up 29.6 percent; and net profit of THB 2.21 billion, up 4.3 percent. Gross profit margin (GPM) declined slightly from 26.1 percent to 25.3 percent, while operating profit margin (OPM) improved from 6.7 percent to 7.6 percent, and net profit margin (NPM) edged down from 4.1 percent to 3.8 percent.
For the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, compared with the same period of the previous year, mai-listed companies reported total sales of THB 108.87 billion, up 8.5 percent; operating profit of THB 8.43 billion, up 21.5 percent; and net profit of THB 4.77 billion, up 17.1 percent.
“H1/2026 operating results maintained growth momentum, even as consumer purchasing power recovery remained uneven across sectors, amid ongoing volatility in raw material and energy costs and geopolitical uncertainty. Profitability remained broadly stable, supported by effective SG&A cost management. Some listed companies that underwent business restructuring recorded outstanding revenue and profit performance. The Industrials, Agro & Food Industry and Services groups posted growth in revenue and operating profit, while Consumer Products, Property & Construction, and Technology continued to face headwinds,” said Prapan.
As of June 30, 2026, mai-listed companies recorded total assets of THB 315.21 billion, up 3.9 percent from year-end 2025, with a debt-to-equity (D/E) ratio of 0.77 times, up from 0.70 times at year-end 2025.
As of August 26, 2026, there are 230 listed companies on mai. The mai Index closed at 229.74 points, with total market capitalization of THB 224.02 billion and an average daily trading value of THB 429.89 million.
