On Monday at 10:41 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited (SET: BBL) rose by 1.32% or THB 2.50 to THB 192.50, with a trading value of THB 574.22 million.
Finansia Syrus Securities (FSS) expects that short-term sentiment toward BBL will be supported by rising bond yields, following the recent hawkish comments from the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. This is anticipated to drive speculative buying in banking stocks and help the sector outperform the broader market.
The outlook for BBL’s loan growth is projected to accelerate in the second half of 2026, in line with robust private sector investment. Meanwhile, the brokerage noted that BBL remains the most attractively valued stock among its peers, trading at a price-to-book value of only 0.6x. The stock also offers a dividend yield of over 5% per year.
As a result, Finansia has assigned a ‘Buy’ recommendation on BBL, with a target price of THB 240 per share.
