On Tuesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,597.48 points, showing an increase of 2.32 points or 0.15%, with a trading value of THB 41.51 billion.
Kasikorn Securities (KS) stated that the Thai stock market traded within a narrow range during the morning session but remained in positive territory. The market was supported by gains in the oil sector, which benefited from higher crude prices following renewed retaliatory attacks between the United States and Iran.
However, there was selective selling pressure in electronics component and power plant stocks, contributing to some downward pressure on the index. Nevertheless, the selling was not significant enough to push the index into negative territory, and the market remained supported despite the absence of any new catalysts.
For the afternoon session, Kasikorn anticipates the market will continue to trade within a range, providing a resistance level at 1,610 points and a support level at 1,580 points.
