Market Roundup 10 September 2026

Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,615.07 points, decreasing by 2.82 points or 0.17%, with a trading value of THB 69.91 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market moved sideways-down within a limited range, as the market was weighed down by selling pressure from big-cap stocks including TOP, DELTA, and GULF.

Furthermore, the market also faced external headwinds from prolonged U.S.-Iran tensions, Brent crude breaking through the $100 threshold—raising concerns over inflation—as well as elevated U.S. bond yields.

For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to trend sideways.

The U.S. Treasury Department announced that it will repurchase as much as $6 billion in bonds maturing between 10 and 20 years during Thursday’s buyback session — three times the size of its previous operation targeting long-dated debt.

The move builds on the department’s short-term debt repurchase earlier the same day, when it bought back $12.5 billion in near-term Treasury securities.
