Ms. Sutida Mongkolsuthree, Chief Executive Officer of Synnex (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SET: SYNEX), stated that the company is maintaining its total revenue target for this year at THB 53 billion, despite recording total sales of THB 23.12 billion in the first half of the year.
According to the CEO, the company’s performance in the second half is anticipated to see significant growth, supported by the high season and the execution of a strategy transitioning SYNEX from an IT distributor to a comprehensive provider of technology ecosystem solutions and services. Additionally, she expects strong growth in sales from the Apple product segment as, historically, revenues tend to rise during the period.
In the upcoming months, new product launches are anticipated, with the initial release of top-tier models (Pro / Pro Max) typically leading to high sales volumes and temporary product shortages. Ms. Sutida is confident that SYNEX’s extensive and diverse sales channels will drive Apple product sales to meet the company’s targets.
While IT product prices and costs, especially for goods imported from China and critical components like memory and batteries, are expected to continue rising due to the rapid advancement of AI technology and increased demand from large cloud service providers, SYNEX has addressed these challenges by managing a diverse product portfolio and offering alternative solutions for customers and projects.
This approach aligns with changing consumer and business behaviours, which increasingly favour subscription-based, cloud, or leasing models instead of large capital expenditures amid the current economic environment.
SYNEX continues to expand beyond distribution to a new business infrastructure centered on solutions, services, and platforms, in collaboration with four key partners. These include Service Point, a SYNEX subsidiary expanding after-sales and on-site service nationwide; SWOPMART Trade-In, a subsidiary facilitating trade-in and resale of second-hand IT devices to accelerate new purchases; Prompt Money, a partner providing device financing with fast AI-driven credit approval; and Trusted by SYNEX, a partner offering insurance and comprehensive servicing for IT devices.
Globally, the technology industry continues to experience robust growth, with IT device sales rising by 8.2%, IT services by 9%, and software by 15.1%. The data center segment has seen particularly significant expansion at 55.8%, reflecting the increased interdependence between various technology products and data center infrastructure.
Domestically, Thailand’s IT and digital investment remains strong, valued in the trillions of baht, signalling vast business opportunities. SYNEX is prepared to deliver timely technology solutions and is developing a technology showcase center to address rapidly evolving market needs.
Additionally, SYNEX plans to expand into new technology segments and will launch partnerships related to robotics and automation systems (ANC/AI) this October, aimed at supporting the Thai industrial sector—a move viewed as a critical step towards the company’s sustainable growth.
