Thai Rubber Stocks Rally as SICOM Prices Hit 13-Year High, Analysts Predict Tight Global Supply Through 2028

On Wednesday at 10:41 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (SET: STA) jumped by 3.62% or THB 0.80 to THB 22.90, with a trading value of THB 354.21 million.

Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SET: STGT) rose by 4.85% or THB 0.50 to THB 10.80, with a trading value of THB 20.26 million.

Thai Rubber Latex Group Public Company Limited (SET: TRUBB) surged 3.77% or THB 0.04 to THB 1.10, with a trading value of THB 4.85 million.

North East Rubber Public Company Limited (SET: NER) increased by 1.75% or THB 0.08 to THB 4.64, with a trading value of THB 7.34 million.

Kasikorn Securities (KS) wrote that the SICOM rubber price has climbed to 260 cents per kilogram, marking the highest level since 2013. This development is seen as a positive sentiment for rubber-related stocks.

The global rubber supply for 2027-28 is expected to remain tight, largely due to reduced rubber production in Thailand and Indonesia. These factors are supporting the continued upward price cycle for rubber and indicate a promising outlook for rubber group stocks, particularly in the second half of 2026.

Finansia Syrus Securities (FSS) also stated that the SICOM rubber price continues to rise, recently reaching 260 cents per kilogram, which represents an 8% increase from the lowest point earlier in the week. This is the highest level since 2013 and continues to be a favorable sentiment for STA.

STA’s profit momentum for 2H26 is expected to remain strong year-on-year, supported by higher sales prices compared to the previous year and no expected impact from flooding.

In the medium to long term, the company is anticipated to benefit from the El Niño phenomenon and, provided there are no delays to the EUDR, the outlook remains positive. As a result, Finansia recommends a ‘Speculative Buy’ rating on STA, with a target price of THB 23.00 per share.
