SET Index Sees Limited Movement as Investors Await Central Bank Meetings and Corporate Earnings

On Tuesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,578.94 points, showing a decrease of 0.09 points or 0.01%, with a trading value of THB 32.45 billion.

According to TISCO Securities, the Thai stock market moved within a narrow range in the morning session, with the absence of new short-term drivers as investors awaited the outcomes of central bank meetings in several countries, as well as the release of corporate earnings from listed companies.

Notable attention was on DELTA, a stock with significant market influence, which was scheduled to announce its results today. The market remained uncertain about the company’s growth prospects, prompting some investors to sell ahead of the announcement to mitigate risk, while others chose to hold and wait for potential upside.

Meanwhile, the global investment atmosphere showed mixed movements. The reports on Anthropic regarding its filing for an initial public offering contributed to increased confidence in AI-related investments. Nevertheless, the disclosure of corporate earnings remains a key influence, with some major U.S. tech companies set to report their results this week.

For the afternoon session, the market is expected to continue fluctuating within a narrow band, with investors becoming more selective based on earnings announcements. The support and resistance ranges are projected at 1,570 and 1,590 points, respectively.
