JKN Global Group Public Company Limited (SET: JKN) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on October 29, the Official Receiver successfully convened the creditors’ meeting. The key resolution of the meeting was that the creditors, by a majority of total debts represented by those attending in person or by proxy, resolved to appoint Grant Thornton Specialist Advisory Services Co., Ltd. as the new plan preparer.
On April 23, 2024, the Central Bankruptcy Court approved the business rehabilitation of JKN, and appointed the company as the plan preparer on August 29, 2024.
Subsequently, the company, in its capacity as the plan preparer, submitted the business rehabilitation plan to the Official Receiver on April 4, 2025. The Official Receiver then scheduled a creditors’ meeting to consider the business rehabilitation plan on July 17, 2025.
On that date, the Official Receiver ordered the postponement of the creditors’ meeting upon the request of one creditor, whose total debt represented not less than one-tenth of the total debts of all creditors attending the meeting.
The Official Receiver then rescheduled the creditors’ meeting in the business rehabilitation case to September 25, 2025. At the said meeting, the creditors, by a majority of the total debts represented by those attending in person or by proxy, resolved to postpone the meeting again, as two creditors had submitted new amendment requests to the rehabilitation plan in several significant aspects within a short period of time.
To allow sufficient time for review and consideration, the Official Receiver ordered a second postponement of the creditors’ meeting in accordance with the creditors’ resolution and rescheduled the meeting to be held via electronic meeting (eMeeting) on October 29, 2025, at 09:30 a.m.
The Official Receiver will report the results of the voting resolution and the written objections filed by certain creditors to the Court. The Court has scheduled a hearing on November 20, 2025, at 09:00 a.m. The creditors, the debtor, and the plan preparer may attend the hearing at the Government Complex, Building A, 2nd–4th Floors, Chaeng Watthana Road, Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
Once the Court issues an order appointing the new plan preparer pursuant to Section 90/53 of the Bankruptcy Act B.E. 2483 (1940), the authority of the new plan preparer and the former plan preparer shall commence and terminate on the date of the Court issues such an order. The new plan preparer shall prepare the rehabilitation plan within 45 days from the date of acknowledgment of the Court’s order.
In this regard, the Court may grant extensions up to two times, each time not exceeding 15 days. After the new plan preparer submits the plan to the Official Receiver, the Official Receiver will set the date for the creditors’ meeting to consider the plan in accordance with Section 96/44 of the Bankruptcy Act.
