Ms. Warinthip Rosarpitak, Chief Operating Officer of Sustainable Energy Business and Strategic Investment at Gunkul Engineering PCL (SET: GUNKUL), stated that the company’s subsidiary, Future Energy Co., Ltd., has formed a strategic partnership with Scan Earth Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Scan Inter PCL (SET: SCN).
SCN is one of Thailand’s leading energy players with a diverse business network spanning not only renewable energy and natural gas but also oil stations, automotive, and logistics. This partnership marks a milestone in GUNKUL’s proactive strategy to build a nationwide distribution network for clean energy technology products.
For 2026, GUNKUL is building on its momentum after being officially appointed as a Tier 1 Distributor of SUNGROW in mid-2025. This is especially relevant considering the Quick Big Win measures and the government’s policy to advance the “Community Solar Farm” project, targeting an installed capacity of over 1,500 megawatts. Along with the anticipated clarification of solar cell tax deduction policies, the company sees significant growth opportunities in line with the expanding market trend.
SCN’s strength will be a vital channel for wider distribution in the future, aligning with Scan Earth Power’s entry into the rapidly expanding solar energy market. Their strategy targets all customer segments, from local to regional, covering both large-scale solar generation projects and small residential projects through their collaboration with GUNKUL. This is to establish a strong business foundation and sustain growth in the clean energy sector.
Scan Earth Power is a well-qualified partner with extensive experience in the solar generation system market and is also a long-standing partner with GUNKUL.
This collaboration is a key part of the GUNKUL’s mission to bridge the world’s leading solar technology provider, SUNGROW, with top-tier Thai companies that have extensive capabilities across multiple business dimensions, aiming to build a green energy ecosystem in new industrial sectors while capturing the national energy transition trend.
In its 2026 network expansion plan, GUNKUL will focus on key target groups, including modern trade, provincial retailers, contractors, and leading energy businesses, to achieve nationwide coverage. The goal is to reach 100 MW, driving growth for the company’s electrical equipment manufacturing and distribution business—one of the company’s three core segments besides green energy business and electrical EPC business.
In addition, the company is preparing to tap into new markets for medium to high voltage electrical equipment and to participate in both government and private sector project tenders in 2025. These efforts align with the latest Power Development Plan (PDP), which is expected to be revised to increase the share of renewable and clean energy in power generation, supporting the country’s Net Zero target.
