Market Roundup 19 November 2025

Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,272.17 points, increased 2.13 points or 0.17%, with a trading value of THB 30.42 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai market traded with volatility within the range as investors awaited economic indicators from the U.S. to evaluate the Fed’s meeting directions, while market consensus anticipates the central bank to hold its key benchmark rate.

Additionally, the decline came as there were no new supporting factors, while pressure emerged from the selloff of some big-cap stocks.

For tomorrow, the analyst suggests traders pay attention to Nvidia’s earnings reports, which will be significant for market sentiment.

The strain escalated following recent remarks by new Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who stated earlier this month that a Chinese attack on Taiwan posing an existential threat to Japan could trigger a military response from Tokyo.

U.K. inflation eased to 3.6% in October, aligning with economists’ expectations and down from 3.8% in September. Core inflation, which excludes volatile categories such as energy and food, also fell slightly to 3.4% from 3.5%.

The main drivers behind the slowdown were more modest increases in gas and electricity costs, following adjustments to the Ofgem energy price cap, and a dip in hotel prices. These factors counteracted upward pressure from rising food prices and growing costs for business raw materials.

Sitting alongside President Donald Trump at the White House, the crown prince made the promise as the two leaders highlighted deepening economic and strategic ties—though no details or timeline for the ambitious investment figure were provided.
