Nvidia plans to release an open-source platform for AI agents, known as ‘NemoClaw,’ as interest in artificial intelligence tools accelerates, Wired reported on Tuesday. The initiative comes in advance of the company’s upcoming developer conference in San Jose, drawing attention from the market to Nvidia’s continued momentum in the AI sector.
According to the report, Nvidia has approached leading technology firms such as Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike for potential collaboration on the NemoClaw project. Details on formal agreements have yet to be confirmed. Sources cited by Wired indicated that the open-source model would give partners no-cost access, with early entry provided to companies that contribute to development.
Interest in open-source AI agents has increased following the notable adoption of OpenClaw, another AI tool that operates locally and performs a range of automated tasks. Companies will reportedly be able to utilize NemoClaw regardless of their hardware setup, not limited to those using Nvidia processors.
AI agents, described as systems capable of independently executing knowledge-driven tasks over time, have been identified by Nvidia and other tech firms as a transformative direction for the industry. The forthcoming San Jose developer gathering is expected to include further updates from Nvidia regarding its hardware and software strategies.
