True Corporation (SET: TRUE) has activated its 5G and 4G network readiness measures and expanded network capacity to support connectivity for registration via the Paotang application for the government’s “Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40” scheme from May 25–29, 2026, between 06:00 and 22:00 hrs. The company expects a high volume of users nationwide to access the application simultaneously, particularly during the first hour of registration on the opening day, which is expected to significantly increase mobile data usage and network traffic.
To support the surge in demand, True Corporation has deployed AI and Autonomous Network systems to manage the network in real time, including traffic management, load balancing in high-density areas, and a 24-hour War Room to monitor network quality, ensuring customers can continue using mobile services seamlessly and with maximum efficiency.
Mr. Khurrum Ashfaque, Chief Network Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, said, “We place great importance on the continuity and quality of digital connectivity during critical national moments, especially government services involving high volumes of users. We have established a 24-hour War Room to closely monitor network performance while proactively enhancing network capacity and coverage to support simultaneous nationwide registration through the Paotang application.”
In addition, True’s network team has analyzed usage behavior data from previous registration campaigns to proactively prepare network capacity. Based on insights from the first day of registration for the “Kon La Khrueng Plus” co-payment scheme on October 20, 2025, usage of the Paotang application among True and dtac customers surged by more than 2,600% compared with normal periods. The peak usage period occurred between 06:00–07:00 hrs, followed by 07:00–08:00 hrs, 08:00–09:00 hrs, 09:00–10:00 hrs, and 10:00–11:00 hrs, respectively, reflecting that many users were waiting to access the system from the very first minute registration opened nationwide.
True Corporation has established the War Room at its Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), supported by AI-powered network monitoring and management systems operating around the clock. Network and IT teams will be deployed before registration opens on the morning of May 25 to continuously oversee system readiness, including 5G and 4G network stability, data transmission speeds, and secure connectivity, ensuring fast and accurate real-time operations.
True Corporation has also prepared additional network support plans to maintain service quality nationwide throughout the entitlement usage period from June 1 to September 30, 2026, particularly in areas expected to experience high traffic demand, including Bangkok and key provinces nationwide. The company has increased network quality monitoring and coordinated field engineering teams across the country to closely supervise network performance, ensuring True and dtac customers can continuously make payments via G-Wallet under the Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40 scheme on the Paotang application.
True Corporation recommends that the public update the Paotang application to the latest version and ensure mobile devices are properly connected to the internet before accessing the service. For newly installed Paotang applications, users must complete identity verification through Krung Thai Bank channels and are encouraged to test other services within the application in advance to help ensure faster, smoother, and more confident registration.
The government is scheduled to open registration for the “Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40” scheme via the Paotang application between May 25–29, 2026 from 06:00–22:00 hrs, covering 30 million entitlements. Under the scheme, the government will subsidize 60% of eligible spending while citizens contribute 40%, with support capped at 1,000 baht per person per month, or up to 4,000 baht per person over four months. The scheme is expected to drive a significant number of simultaneous users nationwide, particularly on the first day of registration.
