KH Legal Aid Dives Deep Into Four Essential Contracts, Enhancing Public With Key Legal Understanding

KH Academy recently marked a significant milestone by successfully hosting a legal knowledge seminar as part of its ongoing ‘KH Legal Aid’ initiative for June. The event, held free of charge at the KH Academy Ratchathewi Campus on Saturday, June 27, 2026, attracted university students and members of the public keen to enhance their understanding of legal rights and practical legal issues encountered in daily life. The seminar focused on the theme, ‘In-Depth Understanding of Four Essential Contracts to Know Before You Commit.’

A key highlight of the session was the presence of Mr. Wuttichai Phumsanguan, Expert Public Prosecutor, who delivered an in-depth lecture on important aspects of debt and collateral laws. Mr. Wuttichai guided attendees through the intricacies of drafting pledge and mortgage contracts, explained key considerations in sale with right of redemption agreements, and provided practical advice on how to safeguard oneself from potential drawbacks in guarantee contracts—effectively helping participants avoid unwanted asset loss or inadvertently assuming debt obligations. The event was marked by active audience engagement, with numerous questions reflecting the widespread lack of public awareness regarding legal procedures and individual rights, which often leads to significant legal complications and losses.

Mr. Wuttichai emphasized that laws related to guarantees, pledges, mortgages, and sale with right of redemption are highly relevant in everyday life and business transactions. He noted that misunderstanding or limited knowledge of the benefits and drawbacks of each contract type is a common cause of legal disputes and financial loss, such as confusion regarding guarantees or differences between mortgage and sale with right of redemption of property—each carrying very different legal outcomes.

“In most cases, people only seek legal advice after a problem has arisen, often when it is already too late for an easy solution. Many issues cannot be rectified if they are addressed after the fact. Therefore, the key is to be well-informed before signing any contract. Knowledge of these basic legal matters enables individuals to manage their personal and business affairs more smoothly. At present, the judicial system also allows online filing of petitions and lawsuits, and those with a sound legal understanding will benefit the most—saving time, money, and potentially preventing substantial losses,” Mr. Wuttichai stated.

Ms. Jiraporn Pokpong, a participant working in the legal sector, spoke positively about her experience at the event. She learned about the seminar via KH Academy’s social media and was motivated to attend because the topic was directly relevant to her profession.

“KH Legal Aid is an excellent and highly beneficial program for the public. The expert prosecutor explained complicated legal topics in an engaging and comprehensible way, even for those without a background in law. The opportunity to ask questions directly and receive clear answers was very valuable. The fact that the seminar is offered free of charge, along with complimentary refreshments and the convenience of a location adjacent to the BTS Ratchathewi station, makes it accessible and appealing. I highly encourage more people to participate in future events,” Ms. Jiraporn said.

KH Legal Aid is a core initiative of KH Academy, supporting Kaohoon’s mission to disseminate practical legal knowledge to the public, promote social responsibility, and help uplift Thai society. The program is designed to provide legal education and to prevent inadvertent legal violations by increasing general awareness of rights and obligations.

The seminars are scheduled to take place monthly and are entirely free of charge. Interested individuals can follow updates and register via KH Academy’s Facebook, Instagram, or mobile application.
