KH Academy, together with the Faculty of Business Administration at Chiang Mai University (CMU)—also known as Chiang Mai University Business School (CMUBS)—celebrated the completion of the first ‘Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional)’ course with a formal closing ceremony.
Certificates were awarded to all 58 students who completed the program. The event also recognized the winners of the program’s flagship workshop, where the top team was granted a group scholarship of THB 50,000 for their outstanding investment portfolio management presentation.
The ceremony took place at the 6th-floor conference room of Building 2, Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University. Attendees included Mr. Chanchai Sanguanwong, Director of Kaohoon Turakij; Mr. Burapha Sanguanwong, Deputy Director of Kaohoon Turakij and Founder of KH Academy; Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongphu Nimanandh, Dean of CMUBS; Dr. Chanon Chingchayanurak, Director of the Management Innovation Center (MIC) at CMU; as well as executives and faculty from both participating institutions.

This program served as a pilot model to expand access to expert knowledge about capital markets to talented young people in the regions. The students experienced a comprehensive curriculum, beginning with financial fundamentals and moving through valuation, investment analysis, sustainable business management using ESG principles, and practical portfolio management strategies. The program featured hands-on learning sessions led by veteran professionals, including financial advisors, securities analysts, and fund managers from top organizations such as PrimeStreet Advisory (Thailand), Asset Pro Management, TISCO Securities, and Bualuang Securities, and was further enhanced by experienced investors and academics.
A highlight of the program was an intensive workshop, where students were divided into eight teams (Teams A–H) and tasked with developing and presenting investment portfolio management plans worth THB 1 billion. Competing for a single THB 50,000 team scholarship, students presented their strategies before an expert judging panel featuring Mr. Nattakul Arunyakasem, Director at PrimeStreet Advisory (Thailand); Mr. Parawee Chairakwattana, Deputy Vice President at Asset Pro Management; and Asst. Prof. Suchanphin Suwanaphan, Department of Finance at CMUBS.
Evaluation criteria covered six key areas: company and industry analysis, financial statement analysis, business valuation, investment recommendations, portfolio structure and risk management, as well as presentation technique and Q&A. Team C emerged as the top performer and clinched the grand prize.
Members of Team C included Ms. Teerada Thuwanuti (4th year, Business Administration), Mr. Theeraphat Sana (4th year, Business Administration), Ms. Nokphikun Suksrisakun (4th year, Business Administration), Ms. Aphinya Kanan (4th year, Business Administration), Ms. Koranan Chaichana (3rd year, Engineering), Ms. Kanyapat Siripo (3rd year, Economics), Mr. Kantee Seedadecha (3rd year, Economics), Mr. Worasak Tajimnok (3rd year, Economics), and Ms. Thanjira Thantadasukkajon (3rd year, Business Administration). Their team was mentored by Mr. Gun Hathaisattha, IAA, CFA, Head of Retail Research / Economist, CGS International (Thailand). Mr. Chanchai Sanguanwong, Director of Kaohoon Turakij, presented the scholarship and delivered closing remarks, encouraging students to pursue careers in finance and investment with determination and professionalism.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongphu Nimanandh, Dean of CMUBS, also addressed the graduates, praising the partnership with KH Academy: “The Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional) is the pilot project that successfully brought professional learning opportunities to the provinces, breaking the traditional centralization of capital market exposure. Students from our faculties of Business, Economics, and Engineering gained practical experience and networked with experts, preparing them with confidence for a future in finance. Our faculty is committed to advancing this partnership with KH Academy, promoting sustainable curriculum development and fostering the next generation of financial professionals vital to Thailand’s national development.”

Mr. Burapha Sanguanwong, Founder of KH Academy, stated: “This project represents a significant achievement for KH Academy in expanding into the regions, with Chiang Mai University chosen for its students’ exceptional potential. Knowledgeable, capable youth are found nationwide—not only in Bangkok. By bringing our program to Chiang Mai, we ensure regional students have direct access to industry expertise. While this course was short-term, the real long-term success will be to see these ‘seeds’ we have planted grow steadily into future leaders in the financial and investment sector. We hope KH Academy continues to open doors for young talent from every region to step into capital market careers.”
