Global Equities Including Major Asset Classes are Tracking Loss on FED’s Hawkish Tone

Asian and European shares sharply slumped on Thursday tracking losses on Wallstreet after U.S. Federal Reserve meeting minutes indicated faster than expected rate hikes amid rising inflation and tight growth in job market.

The SET, KOSPI, TOPIX, CSI 300, Shenzhen closed down by 1.42%, 1.13%, 2.07%, 1.02% and 0.10% respectively. While the HSI index retreated from intraday loss closing moderately up by 0.72%.

Broad market index MSCI AC Asia Ex Japan is in the red, down by 0.98%.

European indices are sharply posting loss with STOXX 600 and FTSE 100 down by 1.01% and 0.82% respectively.

Futures in the U.S., S&P 500 and Dow Jones are up by 0.20% and 0.12% respectively.

Crude oil retreated from loss with WTI and Brent up by 0.71% to $78.40/barrel and 0.54% to $81.24 respectively.
