BH Makes a Net Profit of THB1.2 Billion in 2021 despite a Slowdown in Medical Tourism

Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited (SET: BH) announced its 2021 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

BH reported net profit for 2021 THB1,216 million, increased by 1.0% from THB1,204 million in 2020, with net profit margin at 9.6%. Total revenues increased to THB12,605 million, or 1.3% increase from THB12,445 million in 2020.

Revenues from hospital operations of THB12,404 million, a 0.7% increase  year-over-year  from THB12,315 million in 2020. This was mostly due to a 12.3% increase in revenues from Thai patients, offset with a 10.1% decrease in revenues from non-Thai patients. As a result, the revenue contribution from Thai patients was 53.7%, whereas revenue from non-Thai patients was 46.3% for 2021 compared with 48.1% and 51.9%, respectively, for 2020.

 

In addition, the Board of Directors approved a reminder dividend payment from the second half of 2021 at the rate of THB2.05 per share. The Ex-dividend date (XD) is set for 11 March 2022. The payment of the interim dividend will be made on 10 May 2022.
