Headline: ITEL reportedly signs an agreement with Amazon for cloud service

Interlink Telecom Plc. (SET: ITEL) reportedly signed an agreement on 3 March with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s leading on-demand cloud computing platform, to transfer all data by June 20, 2022. ITEL is also targeting to discuss a possibility with Alibaba as well, according to sources close to the matter.

 

Headline: Eyes on AOT and MINT after Thailand drops pre-arrival COVID test 

Thailand has returned to its vibrant nature as foreign tourists pour in after the country’s announcement to remove the pre-arrival COVID test on 1 April, and the Tourism and Sports Ministry is considering dropping the Thailand Pass requirement from 1 June. Maybank Securities (Thailand) recommends investors to buy tourist equities, particularly AOT and MINT, as the industry sees recovery from the second half of the year onwards.

Global Power Synergy Plc. (SET: GPSC) expects greater energy sales in 2022 as industrial demand recovers and the company gets ready to earn shared profit from the Avaada solar plant in India. GPSC’s installed capacity is expected to increase by 500 megawatts this year. Analysts rate the stock “BUY” with a price target of THB95.00.

 

Headline: Krianghrai cut 179 million shares of A5 in a bid to restructure the company’s shareholding

Kriangkrai Siravanichkan sold 179 million shares of Asset Five Group Plc. (SET: A5) to Taweerat Prungpattanasakul in a big lot transaction, reducing Kriankrai’s stake to 91 million shares, or 7.52 percent of A5’s total issued shares. A5 affirmed that this was a reorganization of the company’s major shareholders that would have no effect on the power to control the operation and was not business takeovers.

Siam Commercial Bank Plc. (SET: SCB) has appointed Kris Chantanotoke as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting August 1, 2022, while Arthid Nanthawithaya will step down as CEO on July 31, 2022 but will continue as CEO of SCBX. Mr. Sarut Ruttanaporn, Mrs. Apiphan Charoenanusorn, and Dr. Arak Sutivong, the three current SCB Presidents, will also step down on July 31, 2022, but will continue to serve as CEOs of SCB Financial Group companies Card X Co., Ltd., Auto X Co., Ltd., and SCB Securities Co., Ltd., respectively.

Teerachai Rattanakamolporn, the owner of Ditto (Thailand) Plc. (SET: DITTO), has become the major shareholder in TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management Plc. (SET: TEAMG) following the acquisition of shares in the company on 30 March totaling 11.79 percent.
