Asian Markets Trade Higher on Friday ahead of US Jobs Report

Major stock markets in Asia traded higher on Friday after Wall Street jumped overnight ahead of the jobs report in May.

As of 8:50 local time in Thailand on June 3, 2022, Nikkei rose 0.87%, ASX 200 gained 0.72% and Kospi increased 0.22%.

Stocks in Thailand, China and Hong Kong are closed for holiday.

Yesterday, Dow Jones closed at 33,248.28 points, increased 1.33%. S&P 500 gained 1.84% and Nasdaq jumped 2.69%.

Investors will focus on the U.S. jobs report in May that is scheduled to come out Friday morning. Economists estimate 328,000 jobs to be added in May, decreased by 100,000 jobs from April, which could be the start of a new, slower pace of job creation.
