PTTEP Resumes Gas Delivery from Myanmar’s Zawtika Project after Repair Completes

PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (SET: PTTEP) said Monday it has completed the onshore pipeline repair of the Zawtika Project and resumed the normalcy of gas delivery to Thailand on 14 August 2022.

The Zawtika Project is a gas field development project located in the Gulf of Moattama, Myanmar. It is operated by PTTEP’s wholly-owned subsidiary PTTEP International Limited (PTTEPI), Yangon Branch.

On 1 August 2022, there was a leakage at the Zawtika’s onshore pipeline, resulting in the gas pressure drop. To ensure operational safety, PTTEPI has promptly isolated the gas pipeline and temporarily suspended gas delivery from the Zawtika Project to Thailand.
