ETC Signs Power Purchase Agreement to Develop 80MW Waste Power Plant Projects

Earth Tech Environment Public Company Limited (ETC) has announced that Get Green Power Company Limited (GGP), an indirect subsidiary of ETC, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) on October 16th, 2023 to develop 10 industrial waste power plant projects with a contracted power capacity of 8 megawatts per projects, totaling 80 megawatts (1 subsidiary : 1 project : 8 megawatts) as follows:

  2. Thorsaeng Energy Co.,Ltd.
  3. The Prao Power Co.,Ltd.
  4. Phan Saeng Dao Co.,Ltd.
  5. Meekwan Power Co.,Ltd.
  6. Khiang Kan Energy Co.,Ltd.
  7. Me Preme Energy Co.,Ltd.
  8. Phraofa Power Co.,Ltd.
  9. Green Scene Energy Co.,Ltd.
  10. Green Care Energy Co.,Ltd.

The contract has a period of 20 years from Commercial Operation Date (COD), with a fixed electricity rate (FiT Fixed : FiTF) of 6.08 baht per kilowatt-hour, and received an additional electricity charge (FiT Premium) of 0.70 baht per kilowatt-hour for the first 8 years of operation. All projects are scheduled to open for commercial operation in 2026.

Investment in the aforementioned industrial waste power plant project aligns with the government’s policy to solve the problem, with a focus on minimizing environmental pollution. This is achieved by reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions, and waste generated during the production process and converting waste into energy. It represents a significant opportunity to contribute to the development of a circular economy. In accordance with the government policy on Bio-Circular-Green Economy or BCG.

Better World Green Public Company Limited (SET: BWG) is a major shareholder of ETC at a proportion of 43.93%.
