Kaohoon Morning Brief – 28 November 2023

Krungsri Securities (KSS) expected Thailand’s SET Index to move within the range of 1,385-1,405 points. Despite pressure from lower oil prices as the market awaited OPEC+ meeting, the analyst expected SET Index to receive a positive sentiment from easing US bond yields and dollars.

The Thai stock market saw a net inflow yesterday, which should support the index to bounce back. The analyst maintained a recommendation to invest in stocks that have unique catalysts.

 

Deutsche Bank and BMO Capital Markets strategists expected the US S&P 500 to hit a record high of 5,100 points next year, implying an upside of about 12% from current levels.

Deutsche Bank forecast earnings for companies in the benchmark index to rise 10% after factoring in a mild and short recession. The rise could increase by 19% if U.S. gross domestic product grows by 2%.

The target forecast by Deutsche Bank for the 2024-end S&P 500 is 8.5% higher than other 33 analysts polled by Reuters that expected at 4,700 points.

 

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has been ordered by the judge to stay in the United States of America after he requested to travel back to his home in the United Arab Emirates before his sentencing on February 23, 2024.

After a $4.3 billion settlement with US regulators over several charges, CZ stepped down as CEO of Binance.
