Broker Picks CPF and GFPT as Bird Flu Affects Chicken Imports in the US

Phillip Securities stated in its report that the US has prohibited the import of poultry from Australia following concerns over the circulation of avian influenza, as well as partly limiting the import of poultry from Japan and Canada.

This gives an edge to chicken export stocks in Thailand, as the country has seen an increase in export proportion to the US of 112% in the last decade. The analyst sees a positive sentiment for CPF and GFPT, which generate a revenue proportion from exporting of 62% and 22%, respectively.
