- Successfully transmitting signals by adjusting antenna tilt at Pha Mo I Daeng
- Ready to work with military and NBTC on tower site survey at Phu Makua
True Corporation (SET: TRUE) continues to support government and Thai military missions by expanding 5G/4G coverage on the 700 MHz band and reinforcing 4G/3G on the 2100 MHz band to reach Phu Makua, enabling officers there to communicate over True’s network. This transmission was achieved by adjusting base-station antennas at Pha Mo I Daeng, Sisaket Province, to direct coverage toward Phu Makua. The company is accelerating joint area surveys with government agencies, the military, and the NBTC for sustainable mobile-tower deployment at Phu Makua, while upgrading communications infrastructure in border areas to support the Thai military.
For urgent mobile network expansion, True established connectivity by redirecting transmissions from towers at Pha Mo I Daeng, utilizing the 700 MHz low band, which is ideal for long-distance 5G/4G coverage, combined with the 2100 MHz mid band to strengthen 4G/3G across the high-altitude terrain of Phu Makua. This ensures continuous voice and internet services during urgent situations. Accordingly, True Corporation has provided support at the government’s request to enhance signals for security missions, while complying with NBTC’s mobile tower measures.
At the same time, for long-term planning, True is working with government agencies, the military, and the NBTC to conduct joint area surveys and plan sustainable mobile-tower deployment at Phu Makua, aiming to enhance digital communications infrastructure in border areas as requested by the government.
Mr. Prathet Tankuranun, Chief Technology and Information Security Officer of True Corporation Plc., said, “True remains committed to supporting government officers and military operations with high-performance and reliable network capabilities to ensure national security missions operate efficiently. The connectivity from the Pha Mo I Daeng tower to Phu Makua represents urgent specialized support, and we are strengthening cooperation with government agencies, the military, and NBTC to deploy sustainable mobile towers at Phu Makua for enhanced digital communications.”
True Corporation has strictly complied with NBTC measures for controlling base stations in border areas throughout, including tower removal, equipment dismantling, and height reduction as required, to prevent mobile signals from extending beyond Thailand’s borders.
Additionally, the company has deployed AI-CODC (Cell Outage Detection & Compensation), an AI-powered base-station monitoring system. This self-healing network uses artificial intelligence for real-time management and monitoring. When base stations malfunction, the system automatically adjusts nearby stations to compensate, maintaining continuous service and reducing risks for officers in border areas where conflicts persist.
