Ms. Waraporn Wiboonkanarak, Assistant Managing Director of Research at Krungthai XSpring Securities, stated that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) closed the morning session higher by 0.27%, or 3.37 points, to 1,257.40 points, supported by buying in banking, telecommunications, and DELTA stocks.
The SET Index rebounded slightly after a decline yesterday. However, trading value remained relatively low as today marks the last trading day before the New Year holiday, prompting investors to delay investment.
In the morning, banking and telecommunications stocks saw buying interest, supporting the index, while oil-related stocks also increased following rising global crude prices. Additionally, intermittent buying in DELTA continued to provide support.
For the afternoon, the market is expected to move within a narrow range, with resistance at 1,260 points and support at 1,240 points.
