Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the leading global contract chipmaker, posted fourth-quarter revenue of NT$1,046.08 billion, surpassing market expectations, according to calculations from Reuters based on the company’s monthly disclosures.
The reported figure represents a 20.45% increase from the same period a year ago, fueled by robust demand for chips used in artificial intelligence applications. The performance exceeded the LSEG SmartEstimate consensus, which had projected revenue of NT$1,035.913 billion based on forecasts from 20 analysts.
TSMC, a crucial supplier to tech giants such as Nvidia and Apple, continues to benefit from surging interest in advanced semiconductor technologies, particularly as AI adoption accelerates across industries.
