Nawarat Patanakarn Public Company Limited (SET: NWR) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the company has provided clarification regarding an accident that occurred at the underground electrical conduit construction project near BTS Bangna Station at approximately 11:30 p.m. on 4 February 2026.
The accident occurred during construction operations when soil collapsed and fell onto a Myanmar worker, causing the worker to fall into soft soil. As a result, the worker sustained severe injuries and subsequently passed away.
As the contractor of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority for the said project, the company wishes to express its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. The company will provide full assistance and support to the deceased’s family as appropriate. In addition, the company will review and further enhance its occupational safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
