US Adds List of Entities and Vessels in Sanction for Dealing with Iranian Oil Transportation

The U.S. Treasury Department has announced that the nation will impose sanctions on thirteen entities and eight vessels from Hong Kong, China, the United Arab Emirates, the Marshall Islands, and others countries for their involvement with Iran.

The designed entities and vessels include Hong Kong’s Ares Shipping Limited, Panama-flagged vessel named Adeline G, China’s Qingdao Port Haiye Dongjiakou Oil Products Co, and companies and vessels of Greek nationalist, Mr. Antonios Margaritis.

The U.S. imposed sanctions on Iran to curb its nuclear development, which Iran claimed that its purpose was not to manufacture weapons. Still, after the U.S. helped Israel destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities in June, the nation suspended further any nuclear talk.

Nonetheless, on Wednesday, Iran’s top diplomat cited a new reason for pausing the negotiation, stating that it is not the right time for effective talks. They also added that the nation would not completely exclude the cooperation with the nuclear watchdog from the U.N.

On Friday, state news agency IRNA reported that Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, will have a phone call meeting his counterparts from France, U.K. and Germany, the three nations that have been pressuring Iran to continue nuclear negotiation.
