CPF Continues “Partner to Grow” Project to Foster Robust and Sustainable Partnerships in the Food Supply Chain

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (SET: CPF), a conglomerate in the agro-industrial and food business, is steadfast in fostering robust and sustainable partnerships within the supply chain through its “PARTNER TO GROW… Sustainably Together” initiative, now in its second year. This year, in addition to SME suppliers, CP Foods has extended the project’s scope to encompass medium-sized enterprises and large enterprise suppliers across the entire food supply chain.  This expansion has enhanced partners’ competitiveness and generated new business opportunities, fostering mutual growth.

Ms. Thidarat Dechayontbancha, Head of Procurement at CP Foods, emphasizes the company’s firm dedication to cultivating and improving the competitiveness of its business partners. With approximately 10,000 business partners, this commitment enables partners to promptly adjust to shifting market dynamics while adhering to sustainable sourcing policies and international standards, promoting sustainable business growth.

Building on the success of the first year of the “PARTNER TO GROW… Sustainably Together” initiative, which benefited over 500 SME partners, CP Foods recognizes the importance of implementing best practices to elevate operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

Through the Partner to Grow project, CP Foods aims to facilitate the exchange and development of knowledge and perspectives on sustainable business practices and social responsibilities among partners in the supply chain, including SMEs and medium to large enterprises. This initiative aims to strengthen partners’ capabilities, encouraging collaboration to improve operational efficiency, address challenges, innovate, and leverage technology for long-term business expansion.

Furthermore, CP Foods is committed to supporting more SME suppliers through diverse activities offered under the SMEs Plus program. These activities encompass projects such as Value Chain Cost Optimization, low-cost and eco-friendly practices,

Environmental Preservation, Carbon Footprint Reduction, and SME Development Programs on Food Safety. These initiatives aim to cultivate essential knowledge and skills among partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality products, efficient resource and energy management, waste reduction, low-carbon product development, and preparedness to adapt to global changes and trade regulations concerning climate change.

The “PARTNER TO GROW… Sustainably Together” initiative aims to continuously support business partners, particularly SMEs, in their continuous business development journey. This includes enhancing production efficiency, management practices, raw material quality, safety standards, sustainable environmental management, and adherence to human rights principles. The project is guided by ethical business practices, transparency, and integrity, aligning with sustainable sourcing policies and supplier guiding principles. This initiative aims to strengthen partners’ potential for success and mutual growth.

In addition to enhancing capacity and competitiveness, CP Foods has collaborated with Bangkok Bank since 2022 to enhance the financial well-being of its business partners through the “CPF x BBL Strengthening Flexibility… Mutual Growth” project. This project aims to facilitate suppliers’ access to revolving credit with favorable interest rates, enabling them to maintain operations, expand capabilities, and seize opportunities for long-term business expansion and future growth.
