SCB Receives Honorary Award from Student Loan Fund for Systematic Support and Cooperation

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has been recognized for its outstanding cooperation in supporting the operations of the Student Loan Fund (SLF) through the Bank’s efficient payroll deduction system for employed borrowers. The award was presented at the “SLF Expo: Creating Opportunities, Building Futures,” where Ms. Somruethai Rattanamanee, Executive Vice President, Head of People Strategic Partner Function, accepted the honor on behalf of the Bank. The award was presented by Mr. Winij Wisetsuwannaphum, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, who presided over the ceremony at the Convention Hall, 3rd Floor, Panyapiwat Institute of Management.

Under its “Digital Bank with a Human Touch” strategy, SCB is committed to leveraging digital technology to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on human values—particularly in education, which is a cornerstone of national development. The Bank has consistently supported human capital development and has played a key role as a partner organization in advancing the SLF’s mission through its payroll deduction system. This mechanism not only promotes financial discipline among borrowers but also contributes to systematic debt management for the Fund.

Over the past 27 years, the SLF has provided educational opportunities to over 7.1 million Thai youths, with total loans exceeding 800 billion baht. SCB takes great pride in being part of this long-term effort to sustainably pass on these opportunities. This award represents another milestone in SCB’s commitment to fostering a society of opportunity and sustainable growth.
