True Corporation’s network teams have developed emergency response plans to handle flooding by reinforcing signal coverage in key areas and preparing Cell-On-Wheels (COW) to support communication in at-risk areas, enabling residents, government officials, local authorities, and volunteers to coordinate continuously even in areas that may be affected by flooding.
True Corporation recognizes the critical role of communication in coordinating disaster relief. The company has increased 24-hour monitoring of the situation, using data from the Thai Meteorological Department, and is collaborating with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) to deliver disaster alerts via the Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) and SMS. These measures help ensure that people in at-risk areas receive information quickly and accurately.
In addition, True Corporation is working closely with NBTC to oversee network infrastructure and the readiness of base stations under emergency response protocols, ensuring that the country’s communication systems, both mobile and home internet, remain continuously operational.
