The seminar, titled “The Study on the Brokerage Business in Thailand: Analysis of Efficiency, Competitiveness, and Ecosystem Development,” served as a platform for regulators, SET, brokerage firms, associations, and policymakers to exchange views on strengthening Thailand’s brokerage industry. Discussions focused on industry consolidation including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategies to enhance competitiveness while maintaining high‑quality market development. Distinguished guests included representatives from CMDF, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), SET, and Association of Thai Securities Companies (ASCO).
Moreover, the seminar marked the launch of Deloitte’s latest report on Thailand’s brokerage business, supported by CMDF. The report recommends strategic direction and cooperation from all industry stakeholders. It further advocates coordinated measures between regulators and brokers to drive change in the brokerage industry.
