KH Academy, an institution dedicated to advancing education standards in Thailand, has expanded its efforts to the regional level through a partnership with the Faculty of Business Administration at Chiang Mai University (CMU), also known as Chiang Mai University Business School (CMUBS).
Together, they have launched the first session of the short-term ‘Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional)’ program, designed to equip young people with essential skills to pursue careers in Thailand’s capital markets. The official opening ceremony was held on Saturday, 4 July 2026, at the 6th-floor conference room, Building 2, Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University.
The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongphu Nimanandh, Dean of CMUBS, and Dr. Chanon Chingchayanurak, Director of Management Innovation Center (MIC), CMUBS, who welcomed Mr. Burapha Sanguanwong, Founder of KH Academy, together with Mrs. Wanwisa Punosoth, Co-Founder and Director of Partner Relations at KH Academy.
The Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional) program represents a significant extension of the ongoing collaboration between KH Academy and Chiang Mai University, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 28 November 2025. The MOU integrates expertise in business administration, finance, and investment to jointly develop curricula and teaching methods, with the MIC taking the lead in academic management.
The program is delivered onsite, combining theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on experiences. Students benefit from lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects designed to simulate real-world challenges in capital markets, fostering professional networks among participants.
Esteemed partners from leading financial advisory and securities companies—including Asset Pro Management, TISCO Securities, Bualuang Securities, and PrimeStreet Advisory (Thailand)—have provided experienced financial advisors, securities analysts, and fund managers as lecturers. Additionally, veteran investors and academic specialists play key roles as guest lecturers and workshop adjudicators, actively engaging students in a simulation of real professional and competitive business environments. The most outstanding team from the program will be awarded a group scholarship worth THB 50,000.
Mr. Burapha Sanguanwong, Founder of KH Academy, spoke about the importance of this academic collaboration with Chiang Mai University in shaping a practical training program. He emphasized, “Realizing the academic cooperation agreement through the successful launch of this pioneering course at Chiang Mai University marks yet another milestone for KH Academy in nurturing future professionals for Thailand’s capital markets. This program in Chiang Mai stands out from our central Bangkok offerings by integrating three major finance and investment professions—financial advisor, securities analyst, and fund manager—into one comprehensive agenda, with a strong emphasis on valuation methodologies. This is achieved through direct hands-on learning and industry expertise delivered by renowned professionals from the sector, who are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience in person. While not all participants may directly enter the capital market industry, the program provides a robust foundation in financial and investment principles, which will be valuable for their personal and professional development in any field.”
Similarly, Dr. Chanon Chingchayanurak, Director of the MIC and the academic lead for the Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional) program, stated, “This program is the tangible result of our MOU with KH Academy and marks an important pilot initiative in the region. For the first time, we have assembled top executives and industry experts to deliver both theoretical and practical instruction directly to students, helping them gain vital perspectives on the realities of the industry and decide if this career path suits them. The response during the brief 3-4 day application window was overwhelming, with more than double the expected number of applicants. This strong interest confirms our decision to expand the curriculum to the regional level.”
For the inaugural session of the Intensive Capital Market Careers Prep (Regional) program, 70 students were selected from over 150 applicants. The cohort comprises third- and fourth-year undergraduates from the faculties of Business Administration, Economics, and Engineering. The 12-session training was held at the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University, from 4 July to 7 August 2026.
KH Academy was established to continue the mission of ‘Kaohoon Turakij’ in nurturing young university students towards careers in finance and investment without any charges.
