Headline: RS invests THB880 million to fully take over direct sales business from Unilever

RS (SET: RS) announced an acquisition of the entire business of ULife, a direct selling business unit of Unilever with the investment amount approximately THB880 million to optimize the Entertainmerce model and broaden RS Group’s ecosystem. With more than 150,000 business partners, it is expected for ULife’s revenue to reach THB1,000 million post Covid-19 situation. Also, RS has a goal to unlock the full potential of ULife to be in the top-five league of the direct selling industry in Thailand by 2024.

 

Headline: SCGP expects revenue to exceed THB140 billion in 2022

SCG Packaging (SET: SCGP) is confident that its revenue will exceed THB140 billion this year, with plans to expand production capacity both domestically and internationally. SCGP also budgeted THB10 billion for M&P, as the business anticipates overseas revenue contribution to reach 60% of overall sales.

 

Headline: ACE-TPCH-UAC are preparing to bid for a 400 megawatt community power plant 

Absolute Clean Energy (SET: ACE), TPC Power Holding (SET: TPCH) and UAC Global (SET: UAC) are preparing to bid for a 400 megawatt community power plant phase 2 project by the end of this year. The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency is expected to finish the criteria for power purchase in 3Q22.

 

Headline: Thai cabinet defers a decision on Green-Line Skytrain concession

The Thai cabinet meeting on Tuesday deferred a decision on extending the concession for the Green-Line Mass Transit Railway due to the absence of seven Bhumjaithai ministers. Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam stated during the post-meeting press conference that the cabinet is aware of the solution to the problem but has not yet reached a unanimous agreement. Thus, the agenda has been returned for further examination.

 

Headline: ADVANC to resume a dividend payment at 100% of net profit in 2022 

Kasikorn Securities forecasts that Advanced Info Service (SET: ADVANC) will resume paying a dividend equal to 100% of net profit in 2022/23, following the company’s announcement that it will pay a dividend equal to 95% of net profit in the second half of 2021. Kasikorn Sec. also raised its earnings growth forecast for 2022 by 3.6% to THB28,937 million and increased its target price to THB233.21.

 

Headline: AEONTS to split its par value to THB0.10

Analysts applauded Aeon Thana Sinsap (Thailand) (SET: AEONTS)’s decision to split its par value to THB0.10, noting that the stock will now meet retail demands. Profitability is predicted to increase by 13% in 2022/23. Currently AEONTS’s share is traded at a 12x P/E, compared to 28x for Krungthai Card (SET: KTC).
