The Football Association of Thailand announced a transformative development for domestic football broadcasting, awarding exclusive rights to a consortium of Advanced Info Service (SET: ADVANC or AIS), Gulf Development (SET: GULF), and Jasmine International (JAS) to air all tiers of Thai football for the next four seasons, from 2025/26 through 2028/29. The agreement also includes an option for a two-year extension, contingent on meeting specified performance benchmarks.
“Madam Pang” Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand, revealed the deal following a meeting of the association’s executive board on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Record-Breaking Financial Package and Coverage
The total value of the four-year broadcast rights stands at 1.4 billion baht, averaging 350 million baht annually. In addition to rights fees, the consortium has committed to a minimum of 150 million baht per year in production costs, amounting to at least 600 million baht over the contract period. Combined, the association is projected to receive no less than 2 billion baht throughout the term of the agreement.
The broadcast rights will cover an expansive lineup of domestic competitions, including Thai League 1, Thai League 2, Thai League 3, the Chang FA Cup, the Revo Cup, U21 Youth Leagues, and both Division 1 and Division 2 of the Women’s Football League.
In tandem with the rights announcement, the Association’s board also approved President Nualphan’s proposal to increase direct financial support to member clubs across all divisions starting in the 2025/26 season. Subsidy distributions will be as follows:
- Thai League 1: 15 million baht per club (16 clubs), totaling 240 million baht per season
- Thai League 2: 4 million baht per club (18 clubs), totaling 72 million baht per season
- Thai League 3: 1.25 million baht per club (70 clubs), totaling 86.5 million baht per season
This brings total annual club support to 398.5 million baht, marking the highest level of financial assistance in the history of Thai football.
JAS Takes All
JAS, one of the broadcast partners in the new Thai football deal, further solidified its position in regional sports media. The company retains the official rights to broadcast the English Premier League and FA Cup in Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos for six seasons, from 2025/26 to 2030/31.
A Strategic Leap for Thai Football
The landmark partnership between AIS, GULF, and JAS is set to elevate the standard of Thai football’s televised coverage, bolster financial stability for clubs, and deepen the sport’s integration within the wider Southeast Asian region. Industry observers see the deal as an important foundation for both improving the viewing experience of Thai football fans and advancing the long-term development of the game nationwide.
