Wattanapat Hospital Trang Expects Robust 2Q25 Performance from Foreign Patients Influx

Mr. Chane Laosonthorn, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Wattanapat Hospital Trang Public Company Limited (SET: WPH), informed Kaohoon that its overall performance in 2Q25 would grow higher than its performance in the previous year and quarter.

This development is due to the higher volume of foreign patients, along with the patient bases from out patient department (OPD) and inpatient department (IPD), with bed occupancy rate of every hospital expanding to more than 80%.

As for WPH’s performance in 3Q25 and 4Q25, there is an estimation that they would grow continuously due to main foreign patient bases from Europe, U.S., Scandinavia, and others, which seem to be increasing. Meanwhile, the patient bases from China and Malaysia that are declining would not affect the company significantly since they are not the main patient base.

Furthermore, the figure of Thailand patients remains high, especially those diagnosed with complex chronic disease. Their numbers helped cover the decline of revenue generated from cash-based patients, caused by the weakening in the economy and purchasing power.

WPH estimated that this year, its total revenue would rise from last year’s figure of THB 2.03 billion to THB 2.35 billion, a 15 – 20% increase. The company also expected its net profit to increase from last year’s figure of THB 283 million to the all-time high record.

As for the future forecast, WPH expected its total revenue would reach THB 2.89 billion in 2026, THB 3.72 billion in 2027, and THB 4.32 billion in 2028, a 23%, 29%, and 16% increase YoY, respectively. These growths are aligning with the plan of expanding the new hospital and the service capability of the original hospital.

Mr. Chane added that the 53-bed Wattanapat Hospital Samui in Surat Thani has seen an increase in the patient’s number, especially the foreign patients.

As for Thai patients, WPH already has a social security patient base of 14,000 – 15,000 patients. The company expected that in early 2026, during the hospital transfer period, this figure would exceed the company’s goal of 20,000 patients.

Moreover, WPH is in the middle of investment to construct new hospitals, such as the construction of Wattanapat Hospital Phuket at Phuket, costing THB 1.2 billion. When this 200-bed hospital opened in 4Q26, the company expected to initially have 100 beds available.

As for the 36-bed Koon Ao Nang Hospital, the specialized hospital for Thai and foreign elderly patients, WPH expected the hospital to be officially open in early 1Q26.
